Flat ID kit & possible alternative event name.

I've completed version 1.0 of a basic identity kit for Flat, if everybody could download it below. It contains a guideline PDF and logos in eps format.

Amongst my other thoughts, what about the name ELECTROLYTE as a possible alternative to the name FLAT?

The word electrolyte is derived from the greek "lutos" (released) and literally means a loose or free substrate. The substance electrolyte can be found in things like batteries and basically enables the transfer of electrons through a liquid and electrolysis. This could be a nice metaphor for our event and it has great electronic connotations.

Personally I think either of these concepts could be developed into a great event.

yeah quite like that, all the meanings work welll with it. Would a wireframe style logo work with it?

my initial feeling is that a different visual concept would be required if we went down the electrolyte route. could hold us up a day or so.

ok well for the moment i'll work off of the "flat" images and style but if we do change it wont be too hard to swap it over
